Ainoa Planas
Postdoctoral Researcher
Ainoa studied Genetics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She later pursued her MSc in Advanced Genetics at the same university and performed her doctoral studies at the Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics, studying how plants divide stem cells and how do they respond to DNA damages under the supervision of Dr. Ana I. Caño Delgado (IBMB-CSIC). During her PhD, she had the opportunity of doing an internship at the Nara Institute of Technology in Japan, where she learned different molecular genetic techniques. Now, she wants to use her knowledge gained in a totally different topic to understand leukemia and try to defeat this disease.
