François Serra

Born in 1981 in Strasbourg (France), François studied Biology and Bioinformatics at the University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg (2007) and received his PhD in Evolutionary Genomics from the Universitat de Valencia (Spain) in 2012, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Hernán Dopazo at the CIPF.  He performed his postdoctoral training in Structural Genomics (Marti-Renom Laboratory) in Barcelona (Spain) from 2012 to 2019 and then in Comparative epigenomics (Alfonso Valencia Laboratory)  in Barcelona from 2019 to 2021. Since September 2021, François has been a postdoc at the Josep Carreras Research Center (IJC) in the Javierre Laboratory, mainly focussed in structural genomics and epigenomics.

François loves writing and sharing code, especially if related to data integration and visualization.
