Laureano Tomás
Postdoctoral Researcher
Born in 1995 in Cantillana (Sevilla), Laureano studied Biochemistry at the University of Seville (2013-2017) and received his Master Degree in Omics Data Analysis from the University of Vic in 2018, in which he received the Extraordinary Award of the Master. In September 2018 Laureano joined the group to perform his PhD under Dr. Javierre's and Dr. Valencia's supervision from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He did an internship at Dr. Giacomo Cavalli’s Lab at the Human Genetics Institute in Montpellier where he learnt about 3D chromatin modelling. He’s back at the lab to continue his research as a postdoctoral researcher.
Laureano loves cooking (especially baking), coding in R and reproducibility.
