Paula López

Born in 1997 in Barcelona, Spain, Paula studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Barcelona (2015-2019), followed by a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University (2019-2021). Since July 2021, she has been pursuing her PhD with the support of an FPU fellowship, through a collaboration between Biola Javierre's group and the Computational Biology group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). As part of her doctoral research, she completed a secondment at the University of Cambridge in Dr. Chris Wallace’s group, focusing on the integration of GWAS and epigenetics data.

Beyond her research, Paula enjoys immersing herself in books, drawing, and painting for hours.
